The history of the village of Sodeto is indicative, residents of which 2011 year got 100 million euros - each of them had a ticket or share with a win, the minimum of which was 100 000 euros. Amazing, but only one person from Sodeto was left without a win, he just didn't participate in the draw. Local activists, collecting money for tickets, did not enter the house, out of the way, which was occupied by a stranger, Greek Costis Mitsotakis
IN 2016 year such a massive gain was made by the communists. Regional Union of the Communist Party won 56 million euros - a ticket with a lucky five-digit number was sold in the small municipality of Pinos Puente (20 km from Grenada) whose population is only 20 thousands of people. Most of the prize tickets were bought by the communist party, and the prize she got was divided among many lucky ones
First I wanted to put lottery history at the beginning of the article, but then it seemed to me, that this is not the most important. Although personally I was interested to study this material
The first organizer of Loteria Nacional Espana was C. D. Carvajal - Director of the Economic Association of Cadiz.
What was Professor Carvajal guided by, putting forward the idea of creating a lottery?
The motive behind his action is very simple.: at that time Spain fought for its independence and experienced a chronic lack of money. Lottery, nationally (and Loteria Nacional Espana is the first project of its kind in Spain) was supposed to become such a source of funds for the state budget, which would not reduce the welfare of the population.
In November 1811 year, an instruction for holding a lottery was created, and the first drawing took place a few months later - 4 Martha 1812 of the year.
The draws of the first years were held there, where the idea of creating a lottery was first expressed - in Cadiz. FROM 1814 of the year, when Spain freed itself from the onslaught of Napoleon's army, the draws of the national lottery began to be drawn in the capital of the country - Madrid. Some time later the lottery headquarters also moved there., where it is located to this day.

King Fernando VII, coming to power, decides to change the name of the lottery: during his reign "Lotería Moderna" is played (in translation - "Modern lottery"). However, after the death of Fernando VII, the lottery again acquired its old name.
1850 year - a significant milestone in the history of the largest lottery in Spain: baskets were used for the first time, made of metal. Later still 40 years old, in 1892 year, Loteria Nacional organizers have started a separate draw for Christmas - Sorteo de Navidad.
IN 20 century Loteria Nacional continued to develop rapidly. The first paper lottery tickets were launched in 1940 year. Improving technology has allowed lottery fans not to waste time and money on that., to find out the results of the next drawing: from that moment on, the circulation began to be broadcast on television.
In the 90s of the last century, the organizers of Loteria Nacional began to actively engage in charity work. IN 1994 year the profits from the lottery were donated to the Spanish Cancer Association, and a year later, the proceeds from the largest rally in Spain helped to host the Alpine Skiing World Championships.
FROM 2002 all winnings at Loteria Nacional are paid in euros.
Spain's largest lottery recently celebrated its 200th anniversary on a grand scale: historical date has come 4 Martha 2012 of the year. On this occasion, a special prize in the amount of 15 million euros.
How are the draws?
Сегодня розыгрыши Loteria Nacional могут проходить по двум схемам: традиционной и множественной. Let's find out, чем они отличаются друг от друга.
#1 Traditional game
In traditional draws, two lottery drums are used: kegs in the first represent ticket numbers, who are winning in this draw, the second lottery drum contains barrels, whose numbers correspond to the prizes, indicated on a special board (exhibited on stage before the start of the event).
Mostly children participate in the drawing: they are the ones who first get one ball from the second lottery drum (thus determining the prize to be awarded), and then, one by one, take out five barrels from the first lottery drum.
When drawing up the numbers of the barrels pulled from the first lottery drum in a row (the number of the first keg is put on the left, to the right of it - the number of the second barrel and so on until the end) the number of the winning ticket is formed.
Expect to win (its amount depends on the prize fund for a particular draw) maybe not only the owner of the "lucky" ticket: all coupons, which have the same first three digits, are also winning.
#2 Multiple game
Multiple play was first tried out over half a century ago (in 1962 year), and so far, some Loteria Nacional draws are held in this format.
What is the difference between the multiple game and the traditional?
The difference is in the number of lottery drums: if two containers with kegs are enough for a traditional game, then in the multiple game, five lottery drums are used. In each of the lottery drums - 9 barrels (numbered from 0 to 9). In the process of drawing, the kegs are taken one by one from the first, second, third, 4th and 5th lottery drum, after which the number of the winning ticket is formed.
Draw Winners, played out in multiple play, are defined similarly to the traditional method.

What else is special about the Loteria Nacional ticket?
The player may not purchase a whole ticket, а несколько его частей: in this case, the cost of the game will be equal to the sum of the prices for the purchased parts (eg, if three tithes are purchased for the drawing on Saturday, then the cost of the game will be 18 euros).
"Tithes" of one ticket have the same serial number. How can they be distinguished in this case??
Very simple: each part of the ticket is assigned a unique “share” number. Loteria Nacional ticket number counts 5 numbers, indicated in the upper right part of the ticket.
