Comment réclamer son lot

My million

How My Million Works

A My Million code is automatically generated for every line of EuroMillions numbers purchased. There is no extra cost to enter the game.

Shortly after the main EuroMillions draw, one unique My Million code will be selected at random from all of the codes purchased for that particular draw. From time to time, special editions of My Million are held in which multiple prizes of €1 million are given away.

The odds of winning a My Million prize will vary from draw to draw as they are dependent on the number of EuroMillions tickets purchased, rather than correctly matching the numbers drawn in the main EuroMillions game.

November 2009 – Changes to EuroMillions Format

On 7th November 2009, EuroMillions’ 11-rollover limit was replaced by a jackpot cap of €185 million. In the event of the jackpot reaching €185 million, it would remain there for one additional draw before being rolled down to winners in the next prize tier. Additionally, the jackpot cap would be increased by €5 million once reached.

The price of a EuroMillions ticket also increased from £1.50 to £2. The price increase heralded the launch of a new supplementary raffle game, ‘Millionaire Raffle’, on 13th November. Included in the EuroMillions ticket’s new price, UK players would get the chance to win a guaranteed €1 million every week by matching the raffle code printed on their ticket with the code revealed during a EuroMillions draw.

Changes Summary

  • Rollover cap replaced by €185 million jackpot cap, increased by €5 million each time it is reached
  • New supplementary ‘Millionaire Raffle’ introduced in the UK
  • Ticket price increased from £1.50 to £2.

Taxes in Other EuroMillions Countries

If you win a EuroMillions prize in Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland or Luxembourg, you will not be taxed on your winnings, just like in the UK. However, winners will be taxed in Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

In Portugal, any prize worth more €5,000 is taxed at a rate of 20 percent, while there is a levy of 35 percent in Switzerland on any winnings over CHF1 million. Spanish prizes of more than €40,000 are subject to tax at 20 percent.

You can only claim a EuroMillions prize in the country where you bought your ticket, so you will have to accept the local rules on tax even if you are not a resident of the country.
